I have only had this lamp a week, but the light is nice. The power plug has a big adapter where the power plug meets the electrical socket and that adapter becomes warm to the touch. The lamp stays cool. My only concern was screwing the lamp together because the cord running through the lamp had slack.The slack barely fit into lamp.
