(More customer reviews)Overall I'm very pleased with this lamp.I bought it to replace a "regular" lamp that I'd used with a screw-in Ott-Lite bulb.The Ott-Lite's light level was good for a few weeks, but it faded fast, and then it refused to die,leaving me in the frustrating position of having to decide when to pull the plug.Talk about SAD.

A few notable features of the Executive Sunlight lamp:

*The light level is excellent and with not-infrequent use mine has stayed that way for a year.

*It's handsome.The brushed-nickel metal base, hood, and joints look substantial. The reddish "wood" finish is an obvious fake, but because it's dark you have to look pretty hard to notice.

*It's adjustable with two thumbscrews--primitive, but straightforward. If you extend the lamp head as far as possible from the base, it'll topple over with very little provocation.However, I've seen lots of adjustable lamps that won't stand up at all with the lamp head extended.In any case, in this lamp the bulb is well protected by the hood.

*These are "touch" lamps with the mechanism on the base.Mine shorted out when I walked across a wool carpet and it sparked when I touched it.I was amazed at how good the customer service was, though.I called to get a replacement switch, thinking I'd fix it myself, and they just sent a new lamp, no questions asked, no charge.Now I have the old one plugged into a separate on/off switch.It works fine.

For me, the charms of this lamp well outweigh the quirks.I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

(More customer reviews)Ok, so I'm a college student and I needed a lamp for a desk that was not well lit. I was also looking for full spectrum lamps which are my favorite since the light mirrors natural light. I first bought the Norm@nde Full spectrum lamp thinking it was such a great deal for such a low price. The Norm@nde lamp was crap, after reading the reviews left on the product I thought they might have just got the defected ones and I might not be so unlucky. but the product was merely crap, the crane was loose and broken at the bottom where the crane joins the base. The material felt cheap and like it would snap with little force. So I sent it back to amazon for a refund and bought this lamp instead. BEST choice I've made. the on/off switch is touch sensitive and VERY responsive. the base is VERy solid and stable. the crane reaches far and the joins near the lamp could be turned to. So basically anywhere you put the lamp you can choose to illuminate any specific area. The light is really bright so it doesn't cause any eye strains after reading for 6+ hrs. basically if your looking for a full spectrum lamp and you don't want to pay the overly exaggerated prices that some companies place on their products, this is it. it has everything and its rock solid.

(More customer reviews)The lamp arrived on time and in good condition. I was pleased with the finish, it look like a much more expensive lamp then what it cost. The assembly was easy, once I pulled the top extension part into the tube so that I could screw on the bottom tube as per the instruction. The top can be extended 12" vertically and the lamp head can rotated 360 Deg.and also the swing arm can rotate out from the arm another 320 Deg.

The 27watt light is fine for reading and the on/off switch is on the lamp shade (you cannot tell from the description). I have used this for only a day and like it very much so far. The picture on the add does not do the lamp justice, it look better in person.

(More customer reviews)I build automobile and railroad models as a hobby. I have a circular fluorescent magnifying lamp, but at my age I needed some extra lighting to augment what I had. At age 69 I welcome it. This excellent desk lamp has filled the bill with nice white ambient lighting. It is attractive, not too big, adjustable and doesn't take up a lot of room on my work table. The base is heavy enough so the lamp is stable and doesn't tip over. Simple assembly consists of just plugging the fluorescent tube into the lamp's socket. Very happy with it and the price was right. Entire purchase transaction was perfect for me.

(More customer reviews)I have owned two of these lamps, the first one lasted over a year before it quit working,I thought it was just a fluke that it quit working so I order a second lamp.The second lamp quit working after only three weeks.Yes, I did check the bulbs, the problem seems to be with the circuit board located in the base.The seller said that they had three other lamps that stop working in the same week that I called.I did get a refund for the second lamp.It is my belief that there is a manufacturing flaw in the circuit boards.That is to bad because I really liked this lamp when it worked. If I could locate the manufacturer I would see if I could could get a replacement circuit board,
