I use this lamp to do a lot of beading, and I work with tiny seed beads, so this sucker is a life saver. I also love the goose neck because I'm constantly needing to change the direction of the light as I work on more complicated pieces. I did not however pay $59.00 for it. I got mine on sale for about $18.00 at Menards, so shop around for a better price on it. Only drawback is the replacement bulbs will cost you around $8.00, but I've had mine almost 2 years and havent had to replace it yet. I'd recommend this lamp to anyone who does a lot of beading, needle point, or crafts that require you to really be able to see the detail in your work. Even if you just need better lighting to read with, this will do the job. Awesome lamp, I recommend it, especially for crafters.
