(More customer reviews)Previously, I had a desk-sized lamp with a flex-neck which only covers the area of my reading view. Now I can light up the entire chair area when I read. This is very practical, so you can sit straight and not have to turn to your right to face the desk lamp's range which is what I used to do.
The Solarex Sun Lamp is actually not a sun lamp - it is not the "happy lamp" variety. If you want a "happy lamp" (for SAD symptoms) I suggest you order one separately. If you're looking for a good, solid, well-built lamp to enjoy reading for hours, this one fits the bill.
It was easy to assemble and takes about 5 minutes or so.I highly recommend it as it takes up little space and frees up your limited end-table or desk space. I placed the base under the armchair's legs in the rear and it covers the entire area of my chair with great light, not at all glaring or hot. Also, I no longer have to turn on the two additional lamps I have in the room. This floor lamp is all I need. And it is energy-saving. I will buy another one for another room when I need it.
