(More customer reviews)After struggling a bit to put this together (pieces with wires through them don't really line up properly) you can imagine how frustrating it was when the on/off switch did not work at all.Pushing down on the button caused the lamps to light up but the button would not "hold" in the on position, instead popping right back to off.Added to the fact that it is not easy to locate 150 watt bulbs, and that since it took a while for me to get this all put together, so that when I finally returned it 30 days had past and I wasn't given a full refund and I am extremely unhappy with this entire transaction.
Also, while the top and base are definitely black the pieces the you put together to run from the base to the top were not really black as much as a dark pewter color.From a distance they looked dark but up close look more silver.I have no idea how they look with the light on since I couldn't make the light work.
