Sadly the top lamp lens is cracked and since we live hundreds of miles from a delivery point we chose to live with it since a return is not possible, would cost more in gas and time than the lamp.
The top lamp bulb needs to heat slightly to run at the lowest dimmer setting without flickering but it settles down.

The design features a top torchiere halogen light for general room illumination and twin adjustable side lights for reading. Two full range dimmer switches can be found on the base; one for the top light and one for the two side lights. Base and lamp arms are in a brushed steel finish. Includes a top 175 watt halogen bulb and two 35 watt halogen bulbs for the side lights. Side lights are 5" wide. Top light is 13 1/2" wide. 71 1/2" high. 35" wide.
