(More customer reviews)This is a nice torchiere; sturdy, attractive and gives a lot of light with low wattage. 70 watts total from 3 bulbs. It has a 3 way switch to select the amount of light.
I bought this from Amazon and paid $43.29. I later picked up another one at Ace Hardware in Cambridge for $17.99!
Note in the assembly instructions, it implies that the clips in the light unit are to be tightened before the glass shade is installed.
I think this is incorrect. The only purpose for the clips is to hold the glass shade in place I would think. Also the bulbs are the twist fluorescent type which are easy to install but may be more difficult and expensive to obtain.
